Ferguson will make three signings this summer

Whilst many clubs are going crazy this summer with transfers, Manchester United are as ever going to be smart in their dealings and add some quality players to the already strong side. We will not be crazy and go spend £20million on a no name player like Jordan Henderson as Liverpool have just done. We are wiser and smarter than that and would rather spend £20million on a proven player like Ashley Young.

We can speculate all day about who we will sign but one thing is for sure, Sir Alex is look at adding atleast three players this summer.

Ferguson said: “I’m looking at possibly a couple, maybe three signings, which would boost our overall quality in the team.

“Of course, the way we’re looking at it is we have Ryan Giggs coming towards the end of his career and Gary Neville’s already retired.

“Edwin van der Sar announced his retirement and there are holes we want to plug in terms of the safety and security of the team.

“We’ve got some excellent young players but we’ve got some ideas in mind and hopefully we can get them put in place.”

Chicharito will stay for Sir Alex

Real Madrid are at it again as they are sniffing around our players. The latest name to be linked with Real Madrid is Javier Chicharito Hernandez. Madrid are reported to be after Chicharito but the Mexican has come out and said that he will not be leaving Old Trafford any time soon as he still owes Sir Alex Ferguson a lot.

Chicharito said: “I’m very motivated after a great season with United.

“From now on I’ll owe a great debt to Sir Alex for bringing me to Europe. My dream has not changed.

“I want to win many titles to give back to the team that opened the doors for me.”

Where to now for Wayne Rooney?

Wayne Rooney has been making the headlines over the last couple of days, all for the wrong reasons! Right now we should be talking about how brilliant Rooney was on Friday night having played for England and being involved in all four of their goals.

It is no lie that Rooney had a terrible World Cup for England and he has started off slowly this term for Manchester United but it seems like we now know the cause of all Rooney’s problems: cheating!

Aug 16, 2010 - Manchester, United Kingdom - Premier League: Manchester United 3 v 0 Newcastle United.Manchester United manager SIR ALEX FERGUSON thanks WAYNE ROONEY after substitution.

Wayne Rooney is reported to be fighting to save his marriage following allegations that he cheated on Coleen with £1,200-a-night escort Jenny Thompson. The News of the World reports that Thompson told it she slept with the Manchester United striker on a number of occasions while Coleen was pregnant with the couple’s son Kai. Rooney has not commented on the accusations, but initial reports suggested he was considering withdrawing from the England squad to face Switzerland on Tuesday in order to spend time with Coleen.

It was Ashley Cole then John Terry and now Rooney! What is it with these football stars? I guess it just goes to show what earning those obscene amounts of money that they get every week can do.

Now what I am waiting to hear is what Sir Alex Ferguson has to say about this. I am sure he will not be taking this issue lightly as Rooney is key to the teams success and he regards Wayne as a ’son’. Is it time for Sir Alex to read Rooney the riot act or should he be a father and put his arm around Wayne and help him through all of this?

How will Capello also handle all this? Capello is monitoring Rooney’s behaviour and mood ahead of tomorrow’s match in Switzerland. Rooney will make a final decision early this morning whether to travel with the rest of the squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier.

Jose Mourinho to takeover from Sir Alex?

Reports today suggest that Jose Mourinho could just takeover at Manchester United when Sir Alex finally decides to call it quits, well at least that is what Mourinho wants. What was my first thought when I heard this? Great news if you ask me! For a while now I have been racking my brain trying to think who could possibly replace Sir Alex. There will never be another Sir Alex so we can forget about finding someone of his caliber. So we need to find someone good enough and big enough to continue our legacy. Of all the ex-United players now in management, there is no one I can think of who is ready now to take cover at the helm at Old Trafford.

Being manager of Manchester United is not going to be easy especially after all Sir Alex has done for us. The person to take over has to be a born winner and someone capable of keeping the winning tradition going. Mourinho fits the bill perfectly.

SOCCER: MAR 11 UEFA Champions League - Manchester United v Internazionale

No one can doubt the ability of Jose. His attitude and arrogance may stink at times but he is a winner which is all we can ask for. He will get the best out of every single player he puts onto the field. One only has to look at his CV: Winner at Porto, winner at Chelsea and winner at Inter. Everywhere he goes he wins, so why can’t he do the same for us?

We do not know exactly when Sir Alex is going to go. I have a gut feeling if we win the league this season he may just call it quits. If we win the Champions League then I am 100% sure he will say enough is enough. The question now will be, when will Mourinho want to leave Inter? I feel Jose has a point to prove in Italy and he wants to win the Champions League with them but surely if United come calling for him, he will have to walk away from Inter.

What do you think of Jose taking over from Sir Alex?
